UFO???
November 23, 2008
Those who guessed that this is a small hat, toy, or even a UFO, well, you’re wrong. This is actually an anti-theft device/ button which we see on t-shirts, pants, shorts, blouse, etc. The cashier removes this before they give you the clothes that you bought in their store. (Just don’t ask me what it is actually called, as I don’t know what it called also hehehe)
You may have been wondering how I have this button. When I visited Thailand last july, I went shopping at Bossini, Pattaya. After buying some “pasalubong” and already checking them in here in the Philippines, I was so surprised that something is attached in one of the shirts. When I checked it, the button was still clipped in the shirt and not just one shirt but all the 3 shirts I bought. I asked my self how come that the store’s sensor did not turn on after I left. And, when I checked my bags in the airport, it did not alert the personnel either? Is it luck or what?
We tried removing the button forcefully. It did pull out but the shirt was a little bit ruined. We had to sew it so it can still be use. We did not attempt anymore to remove the rest. I went to Bossini in Glorietta 4 including the receipt to have the buttons removed there. Gladly, the rest of buttons were out.
A question came to my mind again, I think the button is not working since I was able to enter the store and the alarm did not went out. (nyayayaya)
