Christmas Day
December 27, 2008Christmas is over and New Year is just around the Corner. We don’t usually celebrate Christmas that much. The usual, on the eve of December 25, we had mass. The Christmas Eve mass in our barangay now is no longer the same 4 to 5 years before. Officials of our Church usually prepare a small play depicting the birth of Christ or the “Panuluyan”. Those who be Mary, Joseph and the other characters will go from selected houses and would ask if they could stay for the night. The actors will sing out the lines instead of just saying it. The play normally starts at 8 and their last stop is at the church. Thus the whole presentation end around 12 to 1 am of December 25. For almost 3 years now, the church’s officials no longer do such play and just a normal mass. I’ve kind of miss that one since aside from the fact that you remember how Christ was born, you get entertained literally (hehehe you know what I mean) So, Last December 24, the mass started at 9 and ended arounded 10:45pm still couple of hours before December 25.

Amici Day
December 23, 2008Me and my Figaro buddies went out for a lunch at Amici located at Don Bosco compound, Makati City last December 19. Amici is famous for their pasta, pizza and gelato. It’s my first time there so I’m very much happy to be able to eat in that Italian restaurant. The place is cozy and ambiance is good. The interior of the restaurant has a good design. But most of all, the price is affordable. It is the reason why many people are eating even during lunch time. Aside from Makati, they have branches in Bellagio Square, Quezon City and in Level 3, SM Megamall.
Since Amici is Pasta, Pizza and Gelato, I had Spaghetti Aglio Olio E Pepperoncino ( Mildy spicy pasta dish in rich garlic and olive oil sauce) while my friends have the Spaghetti White Vongole E Gamberetti (famous sautéed mixed seafood on al dente spaghetti in olive oil) for pasta. Price ranges from Php175 to Php215. While enjoying the delicious taste of their pasta, our Capricciosa Pizza arrived. Capricciosa Pizza is made from cooked ham, Italian sausage and black olives. Price of their Pizza ranges from Php280 to Php340. Their pasta is good for one serving but I guess, if you have a small stomach, it can be shared (lol)
2008 Ipapo Reunion
December 21, 2008The yearly Ipapo reunion turns out to be a great get-together lunch party. Held in December 21, 2008 at the ancestral house in Bulacan. Each one brought and contributed food to be shared by everyone. We had smoked tilapia, dinuguan (chocolate meat), shrimps, barbecue, salmon, palabok, fried rice with vegetables. For desert, we have buko pandan gelatin, leche flan, brownies and coffee cinnamon cake. We started out with a thanksgiving prayer after which, everyone grab out a plate and get their choice of food.

When I saw this one sitting inside my favorite mall in Bulacan, I knew that this is perfect for today’s theme for “Wide”. Happy photo hunting and advance Merry Christmas!

This is my entry to this week’s Photo Hunt
Malolos City
December 15, 2008I went to Malolos City last December 13 to visit the Barasoain Church. In my 32 years that I lived in Bulacan, I’ve never been to other towns of Bulacan. The only town I’ve been too aside my hometown Meycauayan was Marilao. Simply because one of the branches of SM is located there. (hahaha). I was able to get a deal with my brother to come with me to Malolos.
Merry "Masquerade" Christmas
December 12, 2008
December 5, 2008 is our company’s Christmas party. This was held at the Renaissance Hotel in Makati Our theme “Masquerade”. Everybody came in showing off their colorful and uniquely designed masks. Each service line prepared a wonderful presentation and in-line with the theme. Some of the masks worn during the party:

Mandaluyong City
December 11, 2008In the midst where Venus, Jupiter and Moon were in conjunction with each other last December 1, 2008, I was able to visit the famous Policarpio St. in Mandaluyong City. Truly the street is filled with viewers wanting to see those houses filled with dazzling christmas lights. Policarpio street became known due to how the owners decorate their houses during Christmas. It became a tourist attraction from the nearby residents to other neighboring cities. Due to crisis everyone is experiencing right now, there were only few who were able to light up their houses. The famous ones are the House of Santa and the house in front of it which is covered with lights. Truly, as you visit this place, somehow, you’ll be able to feel the Christmas spirit.
