Mandaluyong City
December 11, 2008In the midst where Venus, Jupiter and Moon were in conjunction with each other last December 1, 2008, I was able to visit the famous Policarpio St. in Mandaluyong City. Truly the street is filled with viewers wanting to see those houses filled with dazzling christmas lights. Policarpio street became known due to how the owners decorate their houses during Christmas. It became a tourist attraction from the nearby residents to other neighboring cities. Due to crisis everyone is experiencing right now, there were only few who were able to light up their houses. The famous ones are the House of Santa and the house in front of it which is covered with lights. Truly, as you visit this place, somehow, you’ll be able to feel the Christmas spirit.
(House of Santa)
(House of Lights)
After site seeing all these houses, I stopped by Mandaluyong City Hall. The city hall has been decorated with various christmans lights in order to attract visitors. During that moment, there had been an on-going program. A big screen had been set up to show the accomplishments and progress made by the City Mayor. People are all over the city hall.

It was hard to go inside as it is super crowded. with all kinds of scent, Gosh, I was able to smell it. (hehehe you know what I mean) I was already about to back-out and go out but then I said, it’s my first time here and I want to take a picture as a souvenir. Outside also, night market (tiangge) surrounds the vicinity of the City Hall.

Thanks for visiting. Me too, I want to decorate my house with so much lights though it’s the electric bill that worries me
We checked that in 2006. Parang same decors yung for this year, especially the House of Santa. Pero masaya pa rin. =) Last year, hindi inopen ang Policarpio to public.

i’ve always wanted to see that house in Policarpio! I would love to do that once I have a house of my own, but only if i have enough money to pay the electric bills!
