First Week of Work in 2009

First Five days of work in 2009 was really something.  Monday, January 5, was the busiest since there were lots of things to catch up after the long holidays.  Expected emails from clients and colleagues are all coming in.  Meetings have to be made to schedule our upcoming engagements.  Whew, that was really something.  Good thing that we were treated out for lunch by one of my officemate at Amici (yummy pizza, pasta and gelato).  As the day goes a long, I was able to manage the work.

 

Tuesday, I was able to mail the postcards to my postcrossing friends to be.  I say “friends to be” since I just have little backgrounds of the recipients of my post cards.  The idea of this postcrossing activity is that you gain friends from the postcards that you’ll be sending from all over the world but the best thing is, you’ll be able to promote your own country.  What I like about this is that I’ll be able to collect postcards as well as stamps.  I used to collect stamps during my highschool days.

Wednesday was something.  My coffee buddies (hehehe) and I had our lunch at Cyma, Greenbelt.  Cyma is a Greek cuisine.  My two friends have already eaten there and told me that the baby clams pasta is the best.  Since we were craving for pasta, we ordered a family size pasta and as an appetizer, hummus (made from garbanzos or chickpeas).  You’ll be surprised also when they serve their famous flaming cheese.  You’ll here the crew shouts “OPA”. (just don’t know what it means hehehe) We were not able to order that one.  But, we’ll be coming back two weeks from now and we’ll try it out.

 

 

Thursday, went to meet one of our favorite client (hehehe) around Sucat to discuss an issue.  The discussion just took us 10 mins but our travel time from and to the client was about an hour. And the worst is that it is raining hard.

Friday already and time really fly so fast.  I was able to finish reviewing 2 working papers and emailed my two pending items to our counterpart in the US.  Oh well, despite the busy schedule for the week I really enjoyed it so much.  I prefer to be busy at work rather than doing nothing and you’re just in the office (you know what I mean).

 

This is my first five days out of the 365 days in 2009.  What other exciting things are coming up for me??? Well, I’m waiting for February to come since I’ll be going to this famous beach and my cousins and I are already planning out our summer outing this April and other outings to come since our President already declared this years holidays (yipppeee).  So, how was you week?
