Ark Avalon
February 6, 2009
There is a zoo here the heart of Pasig where animals can walk and roam freely. This is at Ark Avalon Zoo at Pasig. I visited Ark Avalon last January and literally, the mini zoo is in an Ark (like in Noah’s Ark). There are only a limited number of species of animals that can be found inside. Some of the animals are not placed inside the cage so people have the opportunity to touch them. Majority of those that were inside a glass cage were those that are wild like tigers, lion and bear. I somehow felt sorry for those wild animals since their cage seems small for them.
While viewing the animals, I was surprised to see a sheepdog. His name is Arthur, a one-year-old sheepdog. Incidentally, he is also for sale. Arthur is so cuddly and friendly.
I never thought that owls are not that sensitive to people. I had a chance to have a picture with one of the owls and it just stood there and did not even move nor made a squeaky sound.

At the 2nd floor, there were more kinds of birds. Some of them were just walking around and not minding the people around them. There is a feeding section where you can feed rabbits, hamster, chicken. Feeds cost P10.00.
This zoo is a good since you get to interact with the animals inside. Children will surely love and enjoy the place.
