New Bombay
February 23, 2009I noticed that there is one thing me and my office buddies have in common. We love to eat J. That is why I’m calling ourselves as the “Food Trippers”. After dining at Banana Leaf, our next stop was an Indian cuisine. We have some choices and we ended up trying New Bombay at Glorietta 3. I always passed by this restaurant everytime I wait for a taxi and it never crossed my mind to dine there. But then, since we wanted a different cuisine to explore, I joined.
New Bombay, Glorietta branch, is not that big so in case you are planning to eat there and you are big in a group, I suggest that you get a reservation with them. They have lovely designs on their wall. What I like more are the dolls that dangles on the side of their wall. On the other side of the wall was a painting of an Indian Lady.

Since we don’t know what to order, we just let the manager to give us their bestseller dishes. We wanted to try out their Jumbo Egg Dosa or what they call it as “Turon” but we have to wait for 30 mins to cook it.

Vegetable Tawa Masala (Php 175.00)
Tandoori Roti (Php 120.00)
M. Rogan Josh (Php 185.00) with lamb meat
Our favorite, Fish Kadai (Php 175.00)
Chicken Tikka Masala (Php 190.00)
Palak Paneer (Php175.00) Made from Spinach
Cheese Naan (Php 160.00)
Safron Rice (Php 165.00)
Chicken Biryani (Php 195.00)
I should say that I was never disappointed with what we ate. All these food are so delicious and just affordable. Even their Roti are not greasy
Although, they say that the price in the Salcedo Village branch is a little bit cheaper. Well, regardless, this restaurant is a thumbs up for me

hehehe you better try indian food again. even with the rice and just their roti plus the sauce like food, it’s still ok.
Never know if they serve plain rice with yoghurt. But do other indian restaurants serve that? hmmmm I think i’ll have to try that one.
thanks for visiting
Indian rice with yogurt is good. I like biyarni. Did you like the chicken tikka? It’s popular that there’s a store named Chicken Tikka, it’s like KFC. I dined in New Bombay before (Columns Branch). You should try Kulfe, an indian ice cream.
Posted by witsandnuts at February 24, 2009, 5:13 pm@wits: really, do they sell it at New BomBay? We were supposed to try the ice cream also kaso busog na mga kasama ko. mmaybe next time. I like the chicken Tikka. Actually, all that have been served to us were so delicious

Just wondering if you know New Bombay uses halal meat (meat that is permissable for Muslims to consume)? I hope they do! Thanks
