Kopi Roti
February 26, 2009
Kopi Roti concept began in Singapore many years ago when Kopi Tiams - the Malay word for coffee shop - started catering to a very demandable clientele, locals who knew how coffee should be blended the Asian way and who demanded nothing but the best at a reasonable cost. (www.kopiroti.com.ph)

Their branch at The Columns is only small although they have a second floor. Their specialty are the Kopi Bun, Kopi and Tea, Kaya Toast, Soft Boiled Eggs, and French Toast. They also have Set Meals to choose from like:
Set A (Php 120.00)
2 pcs. “Roti” French Toast
2 pcs. “Roti” French Toast
2 pcs. Soft Boiled Eggs
Kopi or Tea
Set B (Php 105.00):
4 pcs. Home Made “Roti” Kaya Toast
2 pcs. Soft Boiled Eggs
Kopi or Tea
Set C (Php 90.00):
2 pcs. “Roti” French Toast
Kopi or Tea
Set D (Php 80.00):
4 pcs. Home Made “Roti” Kaya Toast
Kopi or Tea
Set E (Php 80.00)
1 pcs. Kopi Bun
Kopi or Tea
Set F (Php 105.00):
1 pcs. Kopi Bun
2 pcs. Soft Boiled Eggs
Kopi or Tea
I ordered set D. They also offer a different twist in their coffee. Instead of giving you sugar and creamer, they used condensed milk on their coffee (Kopi with Milk). Although you can also order coffee with evaporated milk (Kopi ‘C’) or just brewed coffee (Kopi ‘O’)
Home Made “Roti” Kaya Toast (Php 40.00) consists of 4 slices of Toast with Butter and Special Kaya spread.
Kopi Bun (Php 40.00) House Speciality. Soft bread with coffee flavored crust and sweet buttery filling inside.
Iced kopi with milk (Php 50.00)
Soft Boiled Eggs (Php 30.00) made with special soy sauce and white pepper.
Kopi with Milk (Php 45.00) Coffee with condensed milk - see the white liquid at the bottom?
As our orders arrived, I immediately tasted the Kaya Toast and it’s surely is delicious. It’s crunchy and made with butter and Kaya spread which tasted like coco jam (stop thinking of the calories here). What I find very good about their Kaya Toast was that you can still eat it straight from the refrigerator. The crunchiness of the bread as well as its taste remained the same. Although they are promoting their Kopi Bun, I prefer their Kaya Toast better.
We really had a wonderful meal that day. Imagine, we visited 2 places in a day. Hahaha It’s really a food trip (lol)

Remember, nagdi-diet ka. Joke. Heehee. I never tried dining there. Nung paalis ako ng MDAC kakabukas pa lang nyan. Mukhang masarap yung house specialty.
