Boracay Escapades (Crystal Cove, Snorkling, Parasailing…) - Day 2
March 23, 2009continued from:
Our 2nd day at Bora. Wow time fly so fast. We just arrived the other day and now it’s already day 2 of our adventure. My friend and I were supposed to catch the early sunrise but she was still asleep so instead of missing the morning freshness of air, I went to the beach for a walk and of course get my early morning shots

The beach looks peacefull during the since not so many people are crowding the area. Many are having their exercise and some were just walking on the shoreline and even on the water since it is still low tide.

We had our breakfast at the hotel which included in our hotel package.

my breakfast: hotdogs and egg
my friend’s breakfast: bacon and egg
our choice of drinks: coffee, orange juice and pineapple juice
After our first meal of the day, we hurried up to get our things for our island hopping adventure.
First destination for our island hopping is the ever famous Crystal Cove. It’s a 5 to 10 min boat ride from the beach. In the middle of the water, waves becomes stronger. It’s a good thing that our boat is big enough even if we were just 5 (including the 2 of us, our travel guide, and 2 boat men). Finally we arrived Crystal Cave after looking for a place to park.
Crystal Cove is a two-hectare island which sits at the threshold of the Boracay Coast. The island offers a lot of services aside from its majestic view. The have exlusive island accomodation, island camping accomodation, catering services and picnic services. Entrance to the island is Php150.00. Our boat man toured us around. The view form the top is so beautiful. Just looking at the waters makes you feel so peaceful.

The view of the whole boracay is good to see from above the cove. We were supposed to have our snorkeling at one of the caves however, the water is high that time and the waves are so strong. I would not want to risk my camera from getting wet. We had our lunch there in one of the picnic area. We already brought our food, which was bought from the market by our guide.
Our lunch at the cove was really super. We did a little walk along the cove before we went head for our snorkeling activity.

Our morning activity was fun as we head back to the hotel to freshen up and transfer our pictures from my friends laptop.
We were supposed to have our shake but we got a good deal for parasailing (Php 1000.00) which my friend would love to try. On the way, we were still excited but as we transferred from another boat and all the gadgets for parasailing are put into us, I began to panic.

up…up…and away…
after???
If you guess that I actually did that, well, no. The moment I saw my friend being hooked I felt dizzy and about to vomit. I already said no to them and just let my friend enjoy it (so it’s my friend who is up there hehehehe). She was up there for 15 mins. But for me it seems so long. Good thing I did not vomit coz I don’t know where I will throw it. Hayyyy, on our way back and as we are about to pay, they allowed us to pay only for one person considering that I went there.
Still dizzy, we went to the famous shake resto, Jonah’s fruitshake and restaurant. Many have been raving about their shake especially the Banana Choco Peanut. I didn’t order that one yet coz im not yet feeling better and in case I may not like the taste, I’ll just waste it. Aside from shake, we also had fries and crepe. We stayed there for a while to wait for sunset. My friend bought some barbeque and pork intestine (isaw). She haven’t tasted isaw yet and she already liked it. We even bought another 4 sticks since each stick costs only Php10.00

Banana Lemon (but my friend ordered for a banana melon shake) Php 75.00
watermelon shake (Php 90.00)
banana crepe

We watched sunset outside Jonah’s.

After watching we went to the Grotto for a better view. While walking, we saw people surfing on the low water (just forgot what this activity is called).

We continuously walk to the far-end of station 1 to see those high-end hotels. The area is so gloomy since there is little light and no one is outside, seems like a ghost town to me hehehe.

While walking, we saw this beautiful hotel called Ambassador in Paradise. It had its soft launch last December 2008. According to them, this hotel is owned by the 2nd Billionaire of Holland (wow). It was so nice for one of the assistant of the hotel to tour us around the place. You can check out their site at http://ambassadorinparadise.com/

The end of station 1 is Fridays and after reaching it, we hurriedly went back to our place for dinner.
Our last night at Bora was celebrated at Aria Restaurant, known for their thin pizza. We had pizza and pasta of course.

Quattro Stagioni: A selection of four different toppings (Aria, Boscaiola, Napoli & Frutti De Mare)
Tagliatelle Con Tartufu, Asparagi e prosciuttodi Parma: homemade tagliatelle with white truffle, asparagus and parma ham
We enjoyed our dinner so much. While walking back we stayed at Bamboo Lounge Resto and Bar where the Boracay Phoenux Fire Dancers are performing. We ended our night after my battery cam went out

Woooooow! I love, love that photo with caption “looking at station 1″. I was smiling as I look at your photos of island hopping and visit to Crystal Cove. We had much fun that time. Naligo rin ba kayo dun sa lower ‘cave’ dun sa Crystal Cove?
