The Aftermath
June 9, 2009After the incident that happened last Saturday, I never tried going back to Makati and looked at the house. There were worker yesterday who are cleaning or should i say removing those things outside our room. When I tried to checked our house this morning, the smell of the burnt electricity have already subsided. Those sort of spider web resulted from the fire extinguisher was gone already. The workers moved out all our things to the sala and some to the maids quarter. Now, this is what our room looks like.
Although, there had been no fire, the result was really something. “Para na din nasunog ang kwarto namin”. I find the courage now to take pictures of our room. “Hindi ko kayang kunan ito nung sabado”

We’re hoping that they’ll be able to finish cleaning and re-painting the room by Saturday so that we can sleep there already.

Good that you reminded me to check the structure of the house. Yes, that bed survived. Hindi lang mailabas kasi wala ng paglalagyan sa sala.
Posted by upto6only at June 9, 2009, 12:00 pmthat was just because of the smoke? that was bad…i mean, why did the tv and other stuffs melt when there was no fire?
Rico is right, you better check everything else, it may be because of some holes na pwedeng pagsidlan ng mga daga at ngatngatin ang mga wires..
Posted by sheng at June 9, 2009, 12:41 pmHalos masunog nga lahat. Be more careful.
Posted by witsandnuts at June 9, 2009, 1:10 pmi can’t believe that no fire actually occurred. looks like a black and white pic to me, if not for the bed!

just trying to make you laugh a little.
like what Rico said, you should have the structure checked to be sure it’s still safe. so that you can renovate/fix things up.
and maybe, just a suggestion, get a fire extinguisher for your home. even just one.

Dobleng ingat talaga. Before, i always check on the gas for leaks and ensure that it is close before going to bed. Now, i really have to remove na all the plugs. And yes, i’ll buy na a fire extinguisher.

Parang nasunog nga. How is the house? Its structural integrity I mean? Better check that too. Did that bed survive? or is it a new one?
